Jett May | Founder & Specialist Tutor
Currently studying a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering and Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Queensland, Jett is passionate about helping future tertiary students succeed. Jett has worked within the QCE high school education system for almost a year, providing high-quality tutoring support.
Through a combination of digital resources and in-person expertise, Jett strives to enhance each students academic proficiency, as well as their ability to prepare for assessment items. With a graduating score of 99.25, Jett's senior subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Mathematical Methods, Literature and Modern History provide an extensive level of tutoring expertise.
Further to academic success, Jett also looks to mould each students attitude towards learning into one of personal pride and reslilliance in the face of adversity, skills that are easily translatable in and out of the classroom environment.
In his spare time, Jett enjoys snowboarding, surfing and playing football. Understanding the balance between time spent achieving academic success and recharging the mind is critical to Jett's teaching philosophy.

Toby Garraway | Executive & Specialist Tutor
Toby Garraway, the 2023 School Captain of Churchie, is currently studying a Bachelor of Science/Laws and is passionate about helping future students achieve academic success.
With an impressive ATAR of 99.45, Toby specializes in tutoring STEM subjects, particularly Biology and Maths Methods. His strong achievements and education in these areas allows him to guide students through challenging topics and help them develop effective strategies for assessments and exams. Toby excels in time management, organisation, and study skills, reflected in his busy Year 12 period and excellent results.
Toby’s committed to fostering a proactive attitude toward learning, helping students overcome academic hurdles and build skills that will serve them well beyond the classroom.
Outside of tutoring and his studies, Toby is deeply involved in his college and social community. He plays in the 'Who is John' band and competes in sports like ICC touch, rugby, and rowing. He’s also been involved in initiatives like the World’s Greatest Shave, always finding ways to stay engaged and give back.

Kaitlyn Oliver | Specialist Tutor
Studying a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) at the University of Queensland, Kaitlyn brings both academic excellence and a deep understanding of student wellbeing to her tutoring. With an ATAR of 99.35 and leadership experience as a prefect in New Zealand—where she focused on culture and mentoring younger students—Kaitlyn creates a calm, encouraging environment that helps students feel supported and motivated.
Kaitlyn has previously tutored English Literature and Geography, and also assists students in building effective study plans, mastering exam strategies, and managing their time. Her experience supporting Year 7–8 students through her school’s peer tutoring programme, as well as working with senior students after graduation, gives her a diverse perspective on how to tailor learning to different needs.
Outside of tutoring, Kaitlyn enjoys playing hockey and volleyball, running, hiking, and spending time outdoors. She is also passionate about community engagement and was an active member of her local Rotary Club. Kaitlyn’s approach is grounded in empathy and encouragement, with aims to foster independence and motivation that lasts beyond the classroom.

Sam Wallwork | Specialist Tutor
Sam graduated from Brisbane Grammar School as School Captain, achieving an outstanding ATAR of 99.5. His academic strengths are wide-ranging, with top scores in Biology (99), English (99), Chemistry (98), Mathematical Methods (98), French (94), and Specialist Mathematics (93). A strong communicator and confident leader, Sam also offers tutoring in public speaking and speech coaching, drawing on his extensive experience presenting at school assemblies, formal events, and competitions. Sam is currently studying a double degree of Engineering and Commerce at the University of Queensland while staying on campus at St John’s College.
Beyond the classroom, Sam excelled as Vice Captain of the First XI Cricket team (two-year member), played in the First XI Soccer team, and represented the school in the Open Cross Country team. He is currently studying a dual degree in Engineering and Commerce at the University of Queensland, and is a resident at St John’s College on campus.
Outside of tutoring, Sam enjoys cricket, soccer, cycling and travelling. With his blend of academic excellence, athletic leadership, and public speaking experience, Sam offers a holistic and motivating presence for LearnLink students.

Ethan Naidu | Specialist Tutor
Currently studying a science medicine degree at the University of Queensland, Ethan is a dedicated and accomplished tutor passionate about helping students achieve academic excellence. With an ATAR of 99.4, Ethan brings first-hand experience with the QCE curriculum, offering expert tutoring in Physics, Chemistry, Specialist Mathematics, Mathematical Methods, and French.
Ethan has been actively involved in tutoring and mentoring students through his role as 2024 Grenfell House Captain, equipping them with the skills needed to excel in their studies. Through a combination of structured learning techniques and tailored feedback, Ethan ensures each student maximizes their academic potential.
Beyond academics, Ethan enjoys playing rugby and surfing, providing him with a deep understanding of balancing high achievement and workloads with extracurricular as well as personal commitments. He believes in fostering resilience, independent learning, and strategic study habits to help students thrive both inside and outside the classroom. He understands the importance of balancing study with personal interests and incorporates this philosophy into his tutoring approach.

Leo Callaghan | Specialist Tutor
Leo is currently in his second year of a Bachelor of Economics/Laws at the University of Queensland. Graduating with an exceptional ATAR of 99.6, Leo brings a sharp academic focus and a deep passion for learning to his tutoring. His particular strengths lie in Specialist Mathematics, Mathematical Methods, and Economics, and he is also well-equipped to tutor English subjects across all year levels, including senior Literature.
Leo approaches tutoring as a structured and progressive journey. Outside the classroom, Leo is a passionate musician, having played the cello for over 13 years. He performs with university and community orchestras and balances his artistic interests with a love for sport—having represented Queensland in volleyball during high school. His success in managing both academic and co-curricular pursuits underpins his belief in a well-rounded lifestyle, which he encourages in his students as a pathway to sustained academic and personal growth.

Tom George is a dedicated and high-achieving tutor currently studying a Bachelor of Advanced Finance and Economics at the University of Queensland. Graduating with an exceptional ATAR of 99.75 in New South Wales, Tom brings academic excellence and a strong understanding of both the HSC and QCE systems.
Tom specialises in Mathematics and Economics across both QLD and NSW curricula—offering support in Specialist Mathematics (Year 11), Mathematical Methods, Economics, as well as Extension 1 Mathematics, Modern History, and HSC Economics. His cross-state experience gives him a unique advantage in adapting content delivery to suit varying syllabus requirements.
With a background in peer tutoring at Shore School and continued work with Year 11 and 12 students post-graduation, Tom has built a reputation for clear communication, structured study plans, and highly personalised feedback—even outside session hours. Will Whitehead | Expert Humanities Tutor
Currently studying a Bachelor of Construction Management at the Queensland University of Technology, Will is passionate about helping students navigate the academic challenges of senior schooling. Having balanced co-curricular commitments alongside his studies, he understands the importance of effective time management and strategic learning.
Graduating in 2024 with an ATAR of 98.2, Will excelled across a range of subjects, earning the title of Dux of Literature and achieving a perfect external exam score in Engineering—one of only ten students in Queensland to do so. In addition to his academic achievements, Will was a 2024 Churchie Prefect, demonstrating strong leadership and teamwork. His well-rounded experience allows him to provide tailored support to students striving for excellence.
In his spare time, Will is actively involved in coaching cricket this year, helping young athletes develop their skills both on and off the field. Understanding the importance of balancing academics with personal interests, he encourages students to develop strong study habits while making time for the things they love.
